1. Reminder! Draft Policy Statement on Early Childhood Inclusion - Comment Request Closes Today
The U.S. Departments of Education Health and Human Services are proposing to release a policy statement on inclusion of young children with disabilities in high-quality inclusive early childhood programs. Comments are requested no later than 6:00pm EDT today - May 22, 2015. 2. Grant Announcements for New Early Childhood Training and Technical Assistance System
On May 19, 2015, the Office of Head Start and the Office of Child Care posted the following six funding opportunity announcements on http://www.grants.gov/ soliciting proposals to build a new Early Childhood Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) System. The first four are from the Office of Head Start and the last two are from the Office of Child Care.

3. An Integrated Stage-Based Framework for Implementation of Early Childhood Programs and Systems
This research brief is the first in a series meant to provide early childhood researchers, program developers, and funders with an introduction to implementation frameworks and promising practices in implementation science with the aim of facilitating their use in early care and education. It includes examples of how the framework can be used and a planning tool that captures key activities and questions that arise at each stage.
4. Safe, Healthy and Ready to Learn - Consensus Report
This consensus report examines the issue of children exposed to violence and explores policy solutions to help children, families, and communities heal and thrive. It was developed in partnership with leaders throughout the health, education, justice, and child development field.

5. Aligning QRIS and Child Care Resource and Referral Agency Goals
Almost every state and territory has established or is planning a quality rating and improvement system (QRIS). In most states, Child Care Resource and Referral agencies play an important part in the implementation of the QRIS. This BUILD brief highlights findings from a survey of states to better understand how they have restructured the role and funding of Child Care Resource and Referral agencies to support QRIS implementation. It is meant to help states strategize about how best to use existing resources in support of their QRIS goals.
