The Tots 'n Tech Research Institute has published a new research brief summarizing findings from a survey to identify practitioner preferences related to accessing assistive technology (AT) resources, types of AT resources, and content of AT resources. As a whole, respondents (560 professionals from 48 states) preferred resources accessed via the Internet within the same or a few days. Resources with content information and solutions were viewed as most desirable. Finding AT devices for specific problems and using devices to promote children's inclusion were ranked as highly important. Handouts for parents, teachers, or child care providers were ranked as the most important written materials. Many suggestions were made for video materials to download from or view directly on the Internet.
