1. New Report - Recommended Transition Practices for Young Children

A new report from the National Early Childhood Transition Center (NECTC) entitled Recommended Transition Practices for Young Children, by Beth Rous provides findings from a national validation survey. The report provides information on 21 transition practices validated across early childhood and early childhood special education professionals.

Most State Early Childhood Comprehensive System Initiatives have identified indicators for monitoring program performance and child outcomes related to early childhood systems. The seventh Project THRIVE Short Take, entitled State Indicators for Early Childhood, by Kay Johnson, Leslie Davidson, Suzanne Theberge, and Jane Knitzer, provides an overview of these indicators, a review of indicators currently in use and a set of recommended indicators.
