Kaki Roberts, Orelena Hawks Puckett Institute

Kaki Roberts is a writer and graphic designer at the WWW: Orelena Hawks Puckett Institute in Asheville, NC, where she specializes in creating evidence-based learning materials for early childhood practitioners and families of young children as part of applied research projects. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and of Boston University. A former teacher of children and adults with developmental disabilities, Kaki worked in public school classrooms in Tennessee and Massachusetts and in a special education center while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cuenca, Ecuador. She also has worked as a staff reporter on news dailies and weeklies, and as a freelance writer.
